I am a Brooklyn based artist/educator born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey. I am currently working towards a MA in Art Education with a focus on sculpture.

My portfolio mainly consists of sculptural works that carry themes of absurdity, organicism, and femininity.  I treat my art making as an exploration through varied media and have a touch-and-feel, evaluative approach to art-making. The premeditated touch of the artist cannot change how external factors may result in a work rooted in a constant state of visual change. Within this idea, I find my interest in the concepts of materiality and transformation as well as the contrast between transience and permanence.

As an educator within the New York City, my teaching ideals are rooted in inclusivity through diverse student populations. It is my goal as a teacher to foster a safe space for students, where every student feels represented through featured artists, literature, and other classroom resources. Within this classroom community also comes celebration of social, emotional, and communicative needs of students. To foster a meaningful arts experience, I push for periods of experimentation with new media, followed by group shares where students discuss their findings. It is within these moments, that I find students achieve a deeper understanding of how to work with mediums in order to create richer works of art.
